1970-1976 Porsche 914 Engine Bay Shroud Seal – 100-Inch Cut-to-Fit
Replacement engine bay shroud weatherstrip for 1970-1976 Porsche 914 models. This seal is supplied as one continuous 100-inch length, providing enough material to replace the engine-compartment shroud sealing along the left, right, and front sides of the engine bay.
The Porsche 914's air-cooled engine relies on proper engine-compartment sealing to separate the upper engine bay from the hot air underneath the engine. These seals work together with the engine sheet metal to help prevent heated discharge air from being pulled back into the cooling-air intake.
Original engine bay seals commonly become hardened, cracked, torn, shrunken, brittle, or completely missing after decades of exposure to engine heat, oil, and weather. Deteriorated or missing seals can compromise the separation between the upper and lower engine compartments and allow hot air, dirt, and debris to circulate into the engine bay.

Important: This product is supplied as one continuous 100-inch cut-to-fit length and replaces the engine bay shroud sealing along the left, right, and front sides of the engine compartment.
This product does NOT replace the separate rear engine bay shroud seal. The rear seal is a different component and must be purchased separately if replacement is required.
This is also NOT the engine deck-lid weatherstrip that seals the engine lid against the body.
Measure and test-fit the weatherstrip before making the final cuts.
For best results, inspect the complete engine-compartment sealing system while the engine is removed or when access to the surrounding engine sheet metal is available.
