1970-1978 Datsun 240Z 260Z 280Z RH Passenger Door Opening Weatherstrip
Replacement RH passenger-side main door opening weatherstrip for 2-seat Datsun 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z models. This is the primary body-mounted weatherstrip that follows the passenger-side door opening and seals against the door when closed.
Unlike the smaller weatherstrips attached directly to the door, this seal mounts to the vehicle body around the door opening. It provides the primary barrier against water, wind, dust, drafts, and outside debris while also helping reduce wind and road noise inside the passenger compartment.
Original S30 door opening weatherstrips commonly become hardened, cracked, compressed, torn, shrunken, or deteriorated after decades of use. Worn weatherstripping can cause wind noise, water intrusion, drafts, and poor sealing around the door.
This replacement restores the main sealing surface around the RH passenger-side door opening and is an excellent replacement during a complete restoration, repaint, or door adjustment.

Important: This is the RH / passenger-side BODY-MOUNTED main door opening weatherstrip.
It should not be confused with the separate upper door weatherstrip, lower door weatherstrip, door-to-fender seal, door edge / corner seal, window scraper, or glass run channel.
This weatherstrip mounts around the body-side door opening and seals against the passenger door when closed.
This part is intended for 2-seat S30 models. It does NOT replace the longer body-mounted door weatherstrips used on 260Z or 280Z 2+2 models.
New door weatherstripping may initially require additional compression before fully seating. Proper door, hinge, latch, and striker alignment should be verified during installation, particularly on vehicles that have undergone bodywork or restoration.
