Datsun 280Z Gas Filler Protector / Gas Flap – 1975-1978
Replacement gas filler protector / rubber gas flap for 1975-1978 Datsun 280Z models, including both 2+0 and 2+2.
This molded rubber protector installs behind the fuel-filler opening and surrounds the filler neck, helping protect the body and fuel-filler area from spilled fuel during refueling.
Original gas filler protectors commonly become hardened, cracked, torn, distorted, or completely missing after decades of exposure to fuel and the elements.

Nissan introduced 78818-N4700 during 280Z production beginning approximately 08/1976. Earlier 280Z production used the preceding 78818-N4200 configuration.

Important:
This is the large rubber gas filler protector / gas flap located behind the fuel-filler opening.
It should not be confused with the small rubber bumpers used to cushion the fuel filler door when closed.
