1979-1989 VW Golf MK1 Cabriolet / Rabbit Convertible B-Pillar Seal – LH Driver Side
Replacement LH driver-side B-pillar weatherstrip for Volkswagen Golf MK1 Cabriolet and Rabbit Convertible models using the early-style B-pillar seal.
This molded weatherstrip installs along the driver-side B-pillar / center support at the rear of the door opening. In addition to sealing the rear portion of the door opening, the B-pillar seal forms part of the sealing and guide surface for the rear side window.
Original B-pillar seals commonly become hardened, cracked, torn, compressed, or deteriorated after decades of exposure to sunlight and weather. A damaged seal can contribute to water intrusion, increased wind noise, drafts, poor sealing around the rear of the door opening, and improper sealing or guidance of the rear side glass.
This is the LH driver-side early-style B-pillar seal corresponding to OEM / OE reference 155 847 329 C.

This early-style LH seal corresponds to OEM / OE reference 155 847 329 C and is applicable through approximately chassis 15-K-025362.
Later vehicles use a different B-pillar seal configuration. Owners of 1989 vehicles should verify the vehicle chassis number and existing seal configuration before ordering.
This is the LH driver-side B-pillar seal located at the rear of the door opening. It is not the main door perimeter weatherstrip, convertible top glass-to-top seal, or C-post corner seal.
