Datsun 280ZX Front Hood Seal – 1979-1983
Replacement front hood-to-engine-compartment weatherstrip for 1979-1983 Datsun/Nissan 280ZX models.
This seal installs across the front of the engine compartment nearest the radiator and seals against the hood when closed. It helps prevent water, dirt, dust, and debris from entering the engine compartment while replacing the hardened, cracked, compressed, or missing original weatherstrip.

Installation Note:
Mounting holes are not pre-punched in the weatherstrip and will need to be punched during installation.
Plastic push-pin retainers are provided with the seal. Position the weatherstrip on the vehicle, mark the required mounting locations, and punch the holes in the rubber to correspond with the factory mounting points. The supplied plastic push pins can then be used to secure the seal in place.
The holes can easily be made using a suitable punch, scribe, or similar tool. Care should be taken to properly position the seal and verify the mounting locations before punching the holes.
Important:
This is the hood seal located at the front of the engine compartment nearest the radiator.
It should not be confused with the separate **upper/rear hood cowl seal located nearest
