OEM-style replacement rear hatch glass weatherstrip for 1979-1983 Datsun 280ZX 2-seater models.
This molded weatherstrip installs around the rear hatch glass and seals the glass into the hatch frame. It features the factory-style exterior groove designed to retain the original chrome rear window molding, making it the correct choice for restorations retaining the original-style exterior trim.
Original 280ZX rear hatch glass seals commonly become hardened, cracked, shrunken, brittle, or deteriorated after decades of exposure to sunlight and weather. A failed rear glass seal can contribute to water intrusion, wind noise, loose exterior trim, and corrosion around the rear hatch glass opening.
This reproduction restores the seal between the rear hatch glass and hatch frame while retaining the original factory-style chrome trim configuration.

Important: This is the rear hatch glass weatherstrip that installs directly around the rear window glass inside the hatch.
This is NOT the rear hatch-to-body weatherstrip that seals the complete hatch door against the body of the vehicle.
This seal is for 2-seater / 2+0 280ZX models. The 280ZX 2+2 uses a different rear hatch glass weatherstrip and requires the corresponding 2+2 seal.
This is the OEM Style version and includes the exterior groove required to retain the factory chrome rear window molding.
The original chrome molding is not included.
