This flexible rubber boot installs between the vehicle body and rear hatch, protecting the electrical wiring and rear window washer hose where they pass into the moving tailgate assembly.
Original boots commonly become hardened, cracked, split, or deteriorated after decades of repeated hatch operation and exposure to the elements. A damaged boot can expose the wiring and washer hose to water, dirt, abrasion, and repeated flexing.
