VW Rabbit / Golf Mk1 Window Scraper Kit – 2 Piece
Replacement window scraper kit for Volkswagen Rabbit and Golf Mk1 models. This kit includes two window scraper strips that can be used in either the inner or outer scraper position on the roll-up door glass.
Window scrapers, also commonly called beltline weatherstrips, wipe against the side glass as the window is raised and lowered. They help control water, dust, dirt, and debris around the door glass while also finishing the upper edge of the door.
Original Mk1 window scrapers commonly become hardened, cracked, shrunken, warped, or brittle after decades of exposure to sunlight and weather. The wiping surface may also deteriorate or separate, allowing excessive water and debris to pass into the door cavity while leaving the upper door and window area looking unfinished.
These replacement scraper strips are supplied long and can be used for either the inner or outer window scraper positions. One two-piece kit contains enough material to replace the inner and outer scrapers on one door. Order two kits when replacing all four scraper positions on both the driver and passenger doors.

Important: This kit contains 2 scraper strips, not four.
The scraper profile can be used for either the inner or outer window position.
For one door:

1 strip can be used for the outer scraper

To replace the complete inner and outer window scrapers on both driver and passenger doors, order a quantity of 2 kits, providing four scraper strips total.
These are the horizontal window scraper / beltline seals located along the lower edge of the roll-up door glass. They should not be confused with the felt-lined glass run channel or mitered upper window channel that guides the glass around the sides and top of the window frame.
