    1975-1981 VW Scirocco Mk1 Front Windshield Seal – CAL Style

    CAL-style front windshield weatherstrip for Volkswagen Scirocco Mk1 models. This molded windshield gasket installs around the perimeter of the front windshield glass and seals the windshield into the body opening.

    This CAL Style version features a clean, solid-black exterior profile without a groove for the factory chrome / decorative windshield trim. It is designed for restorations and custom builds where the original exterior windshield trim is being eliminated in favor of a smooth black appearance.

    Original Scirocco Mk1 windshield seals commonly become hardened, cracked, shrunken, brittle, or deteriorated after decades of exposure to sunlight, heat, and weather. A deteriorated windshield gasket can contribute to water intrusion, wind noise, drafts, and moisture entering around the windshield opening.

    Replacing the windshield weatherstrip restores the seal between the windshield glass and body while providing the clean appearance of a trim-free CAL-style installation.

    Important: This is a CAL Style front windshield seal with a smooth exterior profile.

    It does NOT have the groove required for the original chrome / decorative windshield trim. The factory exterior trim is eliminated when using this seal, leaving a clean solid-black weatherstrip around the windshield.

    For vehicles retaining the original-style decorative windshield trim, use the OEM-style grooved Scirocco Mk1 front windshield seal instead.

    This seal fits the Scirocco Mk1 / Type 53 and should not be confused with the windshield seal used on the later Scirocco Mk2 / Type 53B.

    Professional automotive glass installation is recommended.
