Replacement exterior sunroof panel weatherstrip for a wide range of classic Volkswagen models including Golf / Rabbit MK1, Golf MK2, Jetta MK1 and MK2, Scirocco, Corrado, and Polo MK1/MK2.
This seal installs around the outer perimeter of the factory steel sunroof panel and seals the gap between the movable sunroof panel and roof opening when the sunroof is closed. It helps reduce excessive water, wind noise, dirt, and debris entering the sunroof opening and drainage tray area.
Original sunroof seals commonly become hardened, cracked, shrunken, flattened, or damaged after decades of exposure to sunlight and weather. A deteriorated seal can result in excessive water entering the sunroof cassette, increased wind noise, and an unsightly gap around the sunroof panel.
This replacement seal is supplied long and is trimmed to the correct length during installation, allowing the same seal profile to service several Volkswagen applications with different sunroof panel dimensions.

Important: This seal installs directly around the perimeter of the movable sunroof panel. It is not a body-opening weatherstrip or sunroof cassette/drain seal.
The seal is supplied long and must be trimmed to the proper length during installation. Install the seal around the complete sunroof panel before making the final cut to ensure a tight, clean joint.
Factory required lengths vary by application. Golf, Jetta, Scirocco, and several other applications use approximately 2460 mm, while the Corrado requires approximately 2265 mm.
The factory sunroof drainage system must remain clean and functional. The exterior panel seal is not intended to make the sunroof cassette completely watertight.
