1989-1995 VW Corrado Rear Hatch / Tailgate Weatherstrip Seal
Replacement rear hatch / tailgate weatherstrip for 1989-1995 Volkswagen Corrado models.
This weatherstrip installs around the rear hatch opening on the body of the vehicle and seals against the hatch when it is closed. It provides the primary weather seal between the rear hatch and body, helping prevent water, wind, dust, exhaust fumes, and debris from entering the luggage compartment.
Original Corrado hatch seals commonly become hardened, compressed, cracked, torn, or permanently flattened after decades of use. A deteriorated hatch weatherstrip can contribute to water leaks in the luggage compartment, increased road and wind noise, and poor sealing around the rear hatch.
This replacement seal comes cut to the proper length and installs around the body-side rear hatch opening.

Important: This is the body-mounted rear hatch opening weatherstrip. It installs around the perimeter of the hatch opening and seals against the complete rear hatch when closed.
It is not the weatherstrip that surrounds and secures the rear glass within the hatch. The rear hatch glass seal is a separate part.
