One-piece reproduction upper rear hatch body seal for 1970-1978 Datsun 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z models as well as 1968-1973 Datsun 510 Wagons.
This weatherstrip mounts to the body around the upper and outer portions of the rear hatch opening, running across the top and down both sides. The molded bulb provides a sealing surface between the hatch and body when the rear hatch is closed, helping prevent water, wind, dust, and outside debris from entering the rear cargo area.
This is the updated one-piece bulb-style design, eliminating the multiple joints found in the three-piece hatch seal configuration. Fewer joints provide fewer potential leak points and make this one-piece design our recommended replacement for vehicles using the corresponding upper and side hatch seals.
Original hatch weatherstripping commonly becomes hardened, compressed, cracked, torn, or shrunken after decades of use. Deteriorated seals can contribute to water leaks, wind noise, dust intrusion, and moisture entering the rear cargo area.

Important: This is the upper and outer body-mounted rear hatch seal. It installs across the top of the hatch opening and down both sides.
This is NOT the main inner hatch weatherstrip that runs completely around the hatch opening. The inner hatch seal is a separate component.
For S30 Z applications, this one-piece bulb-style seal replaces the corresponding upper and side seals used in the three-piece hatch seal configuration.
This reproduction is also designed to fit the Datsun 510 Wagon rear hatch application. Factory Nissan components and part numbers differed between the S30 Z and 510 Wagon platforms; the cross-model fitment listed here is based on the application of this reproduction seal rather than a claim of factory Nissan interchangeability.
