1970-1978 Datsun 240Z 260Z 280Z Rear Hatch Glass Seal – OEM Style

OEM-style rear hatch glass weatherstrip for 2-seat Datsun 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z models. This molded rubber seal installs around the rear hatch glass and secures the glass into the hatch frame while sealing the perimeter against water, wind, dust, and outside debris.

This OEM-style version includes the correct groove for installation of the original-style metal/chrome hatch glass trim. It is the appropriate choice for restorations retaining the factory exterior trim appearance.

Original S30 rear hatch glass seals commonly become hardened, cracked, shrunken, brittle, or deteriorated after decades of exposure to sunlight and weather. Deterioration around the rear glass can lead to water intrusion, wind noise, loose trim, and moisture entering the hatch and rear cargo area.

Replacing the original gasket restores the seal between the rear hatch glass and hatch frame while retaining the factory-style metal trim.

Important: This seal fits 2-seat S30 models only.

It does NOT fit 260Z or 280Z 2+2 models. The longer-wheelbase 2+2 uses a different rear glass and rear glass weatherstrip.

This is the weatherstrip that installs around the rear hatch glass itself. It should not be confused with the separate rear hatch-to-body weatherstripping that seals the complete hatch assembly against the vehicle body.

This OEM Style version includes the groove required for the factory-style metal/chrome rear window trim.

The metal/chrome trim is not included and must be reused or sourced separately.

For a smooth black appearance without the factory metal trim, use the separate CAL Style rear hatch glass seal.

Professional automotive glass installation is recommended.
