This weatherstrip installs around the inner portion of the rear hatch opening and forms part of the hatch sealing system, helping reduce water, dust, wind noise, and debris entering the rear cargo area.
Original hatch weatherstripping commonly becomes hardened, compressed, cracked, torn, or completely missing after decades of use.

Important:
This is the INNER rear hatch weatherstrip.
It should not be confused with the rear hatch glass seal, which seals the glass into the hatch itself.
It is also separate from the upper/outer hatch body weatherstripping used around the hatch opening. Those components are available separately.
