CAL-style rear hatch glass weatherstrip for Datsun 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z 2-seater / 2+0 models.
This molded weatherstrip installs around the perimeter of the rear hatch glass and seals the glass into the hatch frame. The CAL-style design features a clean, smooth black exterior profile without the groove used for the factory stainless/chrome rear window molding.
Unlike the OEM-style rear hatch glass seal, this version eliminates the original exterior metal trim for a simple blacked-out appearance. It is an excellent choice for custom builds, restorations where the original molding is missing or damaged, or owners who prefer the clean CAL-style look.
Original S30 rear hatch glass seals commonly become hardened, cracked, shrunken, brittle, or deteriorated after decades of exposure to sunlight and weather. A failed rear glass gasket can allow water to enter around the hatch glass, contribute to wind noise and moisture accumulation, and lead to corrosion around the rear glass opening.
This reproduction restores the seal between the rear hatch glass and hatch frame while eliminating the need for the factory exterior rear window molding.

Important: This rear hatch glass seal fits the 2-seater / 2+0 S30 body only.
It does NOT fit 260Z or 280Z 2+2 models. The 2+2 uses a different rear hatch glass and weatherstrip configuration.
This is the CAL Style / Smooth version and does NOT have the exterior groove required for the factory stainless/chrome rear window molding.
The original exterior rear window trim is not used with this seal.
For restorations retaining the original factory stainless/chrome rear window molding, use the separate OEM Style Rear Hatch Glass Seal.
The OEM / OE reference number listed above refers to the original factory rear hatch glass weatherstrip application. This CAL-style reproduction replaces the original seal while using a smooth exterior profile without the factory molding groove.
This is the weatherstrip that installs around the rear hatch glass itself. It is NOT the rear hatch-to-body weatherstrip that seals the complete hatch against the vehicle body.
