1985-1992 VW Golf GTI Jetta Mk2 Body-to-Door Weatherstrip Seal
Replacement body-to-door weatherstrip for 1985-1992 Volkswagen Golf Mk2, GTI Mk2, and Jetta Mk2 models. This continuous replacement seal mounts to the body around the door opening and seals against the closed door.
Designed as a cut-to-fit replacement, the same weatherstrip profile can be used on either the LH driver side or RH passenger side. It can also be used on both 2-door and 4-door Mk2 applications, allowing the seal to be trimmed to the required length for the individual door opening.
Original door opening weatherstripping commonly becomes hardened, cracked, torn, compressed, or permanently flattened after decades of use. Deteriorated door seals can contribute to wind noise, water leaks, drafts, dust intrusion, and increased road noise inside the cabin.
This replacement weatherstrip installs around the body-side door opening. During installation, the seal is trimmed to the required length and the joined ends are positioned underneath the sill plate for a clean finished installation.

Important: This is a body-mounted door opening weatherstrip. It attaches around the vehicle's door opening and seals against the door when closed.
The seal is supplied as a continuous replacement profile and must be cut to the required length during installation.
The same seal can be used on either the:

For 4-door vehicles, this replacement profile can be trimmed for the applicable front or rear door opening.
Position the joined ends of the weatherstrip underneath the sill plate for a clean finished installation.
This is NOT the window glass run channel, inner or outer window scraper, or a weatherstrip that attaches directly to the door glass.
