1975-1981 VW Scirocco Mk1 Upper Door Wind/Rain Deflector Gutter Seal Pair
Replacement upper door wind and rain deflector pair for 1975-1981 Volkswagen Scirocco Mk1 models. These strips install along the upper door opening and help deflect rainwater and airflow away from the upper edge of the doors and side windows.
Volkswagen commonly referred to these upper pieces as gutter seals. The original components incorporated metal reinforcement that can rust, distort, separate, or deteriorate after decades of exposure to moisture and weather.
This reproduction uses an all-ABS construction, eliminating the corrosion-prone metal reinforcement found in the original VW design while retaining the function and appearance of the upper door deflector.

Important: These are the upper wind/rain deflector or “gutter seal” pieces located above the doors.
They should not be confused with the main door weatherstrips that seal the doors to the body, the roll-up window glass channels, or the inner and outer window scrapers.
This reproduction differs from the original VW construction. The factory pieces incorporated metal reinforcement, while these replacements use an all-ABS design to eliminate the corrosion problems associated with the original metal-reinforced components.
