VW Mk1 1/2-Inch Felt Window Glass Run Channel – 100-Inch Cut-to-Fit
Replacement 1/2-inch felt-lined window glass run channel for Volkswagen Mk1 models. This universal Mk1 profile fits Rabbit/Golf Mk1, Jetta Mk1, Scirocco Mk1, Rabbit Convertible/Golf Cabriolet, and Rabbit Pickup/Caddy Mk1 applications.
Supplied as one continuous 100-inch length, this replacement channel is designed to be measured and cut to the required length during installation. One 100-inch length provides enough material to service both front doors.
The felt-lined channel guides and supports the roll-up door glass as the window is raised and lowered. Depending on the vehicle and door configuration, the material is used along the vertical edges of the roll-up glass and extends down into the door to support and guide the glass through its travel.
Original window guide material commonly becomes hardened, worn, torn, loose, or deteriorated after decades of use. Worn window channels can allow excessive glass movement, rattling, vibration, wind noise, and rough or unstable window operation. Replacing the deteriorated felt channel helps properly support the glass and restores smoother, quieter window operation.
Unlike pre-cut factory pieces, this reproduction is supplied as an extended continuous length, allowing it to be trimmed for the required Mk1 application.

This is the felt-lined channel that supports and guides the roll-up door glass. It is NOT the horizontal inner or outer window scraper/beltline seal located along the bottom edge of the door glass.
