VW Mk1 / Passat B1 Rain Tray Scuttle-to-Hood Seal – 55-Inch Cut-to-Fit
Universal replacement rain tray / scuttle-to-hood weatherstrip for Volkswagen Mk1 models and Passat B1 / Dasher applications. This seal installs along the rear edge of the engine compartment at the rain tray / scuttle area and seals against the underside of the hood when closed.
The weatherstrip helps prevent water, dirt, leaves, dust, and engine-compartment debris from passing between the closed hood and the rain tray area. It also restores the finished weatherstrip edge across the rear of the engine compartment.
This replacement is supplied as one continuous 55-inch length and is designed to be cut to the required final length during installation. The same replacement profile is used across multiple Volkswagen Mk1 and B1 applications.
Original rain tray seals commonly become hardened, cracked, compressed, torn, shrunken, or completely missing after decades of heat and weather exposure. Replacing the deteriorated seal restores the barrier between the hood and rain tray / scuttle area.
